My name is Benjamin Ray Brogdon — a writer and learning and development consultant currently based out of Saint Louis, Missouri. As a learning consultant, I focus on creating data-driven solutions that address real business challenges.

From designing high-impact learning journeys to optimizing LMS administration, I bring a no-nonsense approach to help you meet your goals and drive measurable results. I’m currently working with Caleres to automate learning management system functionality and drive organizational change. I’ve written, designed, and produced live-action and synthetic training simulations with the Irish design firm ETU. There, I worked with Fortune 500 clients IBM, Deloitte, LinkedIn, and others to build multiple Brandon Hall Gold award winning simulations. Before that, I served in multiple learning and design roles at Edward Jones, BAI, and other organizations to train and upskill their learners.

Here is a sample of the kind of live-action training simulations I built at ETU. I was responsible for working with the client and Learning Architect to determine the skills and learning objectives that we want to assess in the simulation. I was then tasked with designing the sim and writing the script. Once we had an approved script, I was responsible for building it in ETU’s proprietary simulation builder. Depending on the project, this might involve being the Producer on set to ensure the film crew’s performance is acceptable or finding voice talents for synthetic avatars that use AI to animate a live actor’s voice recording.
